Yeast Infection: Getting wet
Human beings are susceptible to embracing false information and ways of understanding the world merely because individuals they know have provided the facts. Over time, a misconception carries on to grow until the false idea regrettably evolves into an recognized truth. Lets remain centered on the main problem. The argument has been made that having a yeast infection can be aggravated by swimming or getting wet.

Although suffering from a yeast infection may have with some restrictions, but it does not restrict you from enjoying activities such as physical exercise or going for a swim. In fact, it’s really a good idea to stay in shape - physical exercise can help to treat a yeast infection. Bodily wastes are flushed through your system by the use of physical exertion. It can also aid with brining back the balance within your system.
One of the reasons behind yeast infection is that there is a large growth of Candida albicans in the body. Candida, a fungal infection, closely resembles yeast. You should not be worried by the presence of this organism which normally occurs in the digestive pathway as well as the vulva area. The instability of microorganisms in your body are caused by the unusually rapid growth of Candida, and this results in infection.
Do the infections get worse if you go swimming? Various studies and observations have concluded that it doesn’t. You can go swimming all you want, in hot or cold water. The thing that causes me anxiety is what results from all that swimming.
Although going for a swim isn’t a cause of yeast infection, keeping the area wet or wearing wet clothes for sustained periods of time can have an affect on the infection. This makes for a very acceptable environment for Candida to develop in. Just like all other fungi, Candida like dark and wet areas to develop.
Also one of the things that keeps going around is the notion that yeast infection can be transferred to others going for a swim in the same pool. That is false. If you’re going for a swim in a pool, the chemicals that keep the pool clean will keep the micro-organisms from being transferred to others. So don’t concern yourself that much about swimming with yeast infection. The fundamental item is to be sure you are completely dry when you have ended going for a swim. The same goes for sweaty clothes if you’re accustomed to exercising.
The application of fragranced soaps should be restrained in order to ward off a yeast infection. Some elements in the soap can be so strong, they will irritate your vaginal area. Natural non-fragrant soaps would be the best alternative. It’s also feasible that antibiotic drugs would create yeast infection effects. The careful balance between fungi and other organisms in the body can be upset by antibiotic drugs. So to help maintain equilibrium of micro-organism in the body, you can start with a diet of plain yogurt. The sugar content of the sweet-flavored stuff should be avoided, as it can activate the growth of the Candida fungi.
